I’m an American-British photographer and visual artist living with my family in the Algarve, Portugal.

I turned to the soothing peace of nature and flora after leaving a career covering conflicts and breaking news stories with AP and NBC News. I began creating my floral art while living in the middle of a thousand-acre nature reserve in southeast England.

In my botanical art photography, I celebrate the bounty of the flowering earth and the beaty of nature as they appear and fade throughout the year. Each one is a seasonal story. They feature real flowers, grown in my garden or collected responsibly from the wild, and photographed in natural light.

My photography has been published in magazines and exhibited in the Algarve. A calendar for Panasonic Homes featuring exclusively my floral artworks won awards in Japan, and a nature photograph is in the permanent collection of the Young V&A Museum in London.
